Villa Peonia is a spectacular property located on the Amalfi drive, at only 3 Kms from the center of Amalfi, immersed in a vegetation of pine trees and olive groves. The villa boasts marvelous terraced gardens on three levels, all beautifully paved and furnished, vibrant with the colors of bougainvillea pergolas and geraniums overflowing from large terracotta pots.

Description
The villa itself is built on two levels, connected internally by staircases and externally by gentle slopes alternating to wide stepped stairways. The middle terrace is the heart of the house, with a wide pergola and outdoor grill hosting memorable al fresco dinners and drinks. From this area, 15 steps lead down to a further terrace furnished with garden seats and swings; to add to the romance of the place, a marble fountain surrounded by palms and splendid views over the blue sea.
Eighteen more steps take down to the third and lower level which hosts the swimming pool; here will be found 2 outdoor showers, more seating and tables for 12 and, again, uninterrupted views over the coast and the sea.

Upper level: Access from the parking area, where four steps lead into a lobby, then to the spacious master bedroom, with en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi shower and TV. Sliding shutters open to a lovely balcony with blue printed tiles, sun loungers and sea views. A further door leads to another smaller terrace with garden seats.
>From the lobby, an elegant wooden staircase (20 steps) takes you down to the lower floor to:
Dining room, with terracotta floors and attractive blue zodiacal series shaped insert, furnished with a beautiful and precious crystal topped table. The lounge room , with ample and comfortable leather sofas and chairs and open fireplace, has French windows opening to the terrace.
>From here, a corridor leads to a twin bedroom and a double bedroom , sharing a bathroom with shower. To the right of the living area, there is another double bedroom with its own shower room in the corridor.
A small corridor leads to the large kitchen, equipped with eight gas rings, American refrigerator and ice maker. The kitchen opens to the main terrace, with a round marble topped table for twelve and grill.
The utility room, with washing machine and two sinks, is also on this level
>From the terrace at this level, an external passage links across to the annex which has three independent entrances. The annex consists of a twin bedroom (can be made into a double) and a double bedroom, both with their own TV sets, en suite bathrooms with shower and opening onto a side terrace.

Access: remote-controlled gate from main road onto off-street parking area (for two cars). Hire of a car is recommended. From the swimming pool a private staircase (approx. 35 steps) go to the stairway leading to a public beach (approx. 200 steps)

Villa Peonia is located along the coastal road at 3 km from Amalfi town centre, one of the most enchanting spots of the Amalfi coast

All essentials ( bars, shops, banks, and post office) are situated in Amalfi town centre.
Amalfi 3 km, Ravello 8 Km, Scala 9 Km, Sorrento 32 Km, Salerno 30 Km,
Positano 20 Km,
Naples airport 60 Km, Rome Fiumicino 320Km.

Bus stop marked SITA to Amalfi (15 min) and Positano (35 mins) on the main road.
Ferries and hydrofoil run daily from Amalfi to Capri (1.5 hour), Positano (20 min.), Ischia (2.5 hour) and Salerno (1 hour). The services operate only during the summer months.

Late arrival fees – we will endeavor to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival.

The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

The season for pool opening is - 10 May to 25 October;
Baby sitting services can usually be organized locally by the area manager;

Landlocked until the last century, Amalfi was once a major trading port and has a very strong sense of Italian culture and the history of its great past.
