In the unique environment next to the Holy Trinity Square and the Mathias Church one can find the St. George Residence. The former Royal Palace, which is accommodating now the National Gallery, the Sandor Palace, which currently the Residence of the President, the National Archive, the Museum of Military, they are all within a stone's through.
St.George Residence
is located in the heart of the Buda Castle district, adjacent to Trinity Square . This area offers a diverse selection of restaurants, cafes, specialty and antiques shops and several exhibition venues, reflecting both civic and business life. Yet despite the diversity of attractions immediately available to you, the St. George Hotel does provide an ideal, tranquil place for those wishing to relax in the civic center.The contemporary building of the St. George Residence features a complete reconstruction of a Baroque corner house built on medieval foundations. While preserving its original architectural heritage, it meets present–day quality standards with its luxurious refurbishment. The original Fortuna Inn, in fact, comprised three medieval houses. They have endowed our contemporary building with an exquisite and unique atmosphere. All three of the original building now benefit from UNESCO protection.

The St. George Restaurant and Café is trying to take guests back to the old atmosphere of
the one time Budapest, with its Hungarian and international cuisine based on traditional
tastes, a wide selection of coffee brands and a variety of menus and ala cart specialties
awaiting visitors from morning till night time Walls covered with 18th century frescoes in
the rare style of the Colonial and Oriental-Hindi discovered during the process of
reconstruction are also reminiscent.
The restaurant built in Baroque- Plait style. A variable choice of classical Hungarian and international cuisine in a unique environment is awaiting visitors for festive events, banquets and wedding parties alike. Our Violin virtuoso, Ferenc Santa, Jr. and his Gypsy Band is the guarantee for the cheerfulness. The late- Baroque ambience is especially featured by the recovered 18th century frescoes and stoves. Our Chefs awaiting you with delicious specialties.
Stretching deep under in the cellar system of the old house, unique in its exquisite, medieval ambience with its connotation of brick walls, masonry vaults and fireplace, and underneath also lies a Bar and Tobacco room offering our guests a great variety of drinks and tobacco brands of a wide range adding to the feeling of old times.
