Villa Campestri is a magnificent Renaissance Villa completely restored in the Tuscany country side just 35 km North of Florence. Our hotel stands at 450 m above sea level in a park of 140 hectares. We have 22 rooms with a total of 55 beds.

All the rooms have private bathroom, minibar, telephone, tv satellite, hair-drier, heating. From our swimming-pool one can admire the beauty of the Mugello Valley. The restaurant is open both for lunch time (when a light lunch such as bruschette, pasta, salad is availaible) and for dinner (when we offer courses typical of the area). Everything is home made and we pick fresh vegetables every day from our owned kitchen garden.

During the months of March, April, October and November we organise walks and art tours as well as cookery lessons and tastings of olive oil.

Villa Campestri, at 450 m above sea level, is a rare combination of history, tradition, beauty and nature. Situated in the vicinity of Florence, it is a green oasis surrounded by rolling meadows, forests, vineyards and olive trees. A park of 140 hectares invites you to wonderful walks among chestnut trees and peaceful landscapes.

From 1996 Villa Campestri has devoted attention to the culture of olive oil creating the first "Oleoteca" of Italy.  The "Oleoteca" is located in the old cellar of the Villa where we offer courses on olive oil including its history, its science and cuisine. The Oleoteca is exclusive to our guests.

In the restaurant you can touch nature: mushrooms, figs, cherries, apples.... directly from the field to the table. The cooking, using farm olive oil, is particularly light and of traditional tuscan style. You can also taste the best wines of Chianti.

The Villa was owned by the Roti Michelozzi family since the beginning of the XIIIth century. In 1830 Lorenzo Di Bicci painted the tabernacle near the villa...
