The town, embraced by the Apuane alps and Tyrrhenian sea, is one of the world art centres, rich in traditions and laboratories of marble and numerous art foundries,where all the great international artists produce their work in marble and bronze with the aid of the skilled local workers and patronage, which can be felt in the streets and in the square. Here it is easy to stumble across leading figures from the cultural life of Versilia: from Cascella and Yan Kasuda to Jean Michel Folon, Igor Mitoraj and Fernando Botero. Today, Pietrasanta, which is also called little Athens for its rich culture, is a fashionable place for international tourism. Palazzo Visdomini is set right in the historic centre, in the heart of this architectural treasure. A few years ago, an architect from Pietrasanta, Marco Bascherini, carefully restored the building, which was erected in the late nineteenth century. It once belonged to a noble Florentine family who turned it into their residence. The property was conceded by the Marquis Ernesto Umberto Dazzini Visdomini and it was transformed for welcoming guests. Today, there are four luxury suites, a loft on the third floor and a prestigious room on the ground floor, where the common areas and reception can also be found. The style is a rather special bed & breakfast thanks to its truly unique atmosphere. Starting from the furnishings and works of art preserved in the rooms. It could not be any other way, especially considering that the lady responsible for bookings at Palazzo Visdomini has turned her love of antiques into her own professional business, using her experience to recreate the tasteful interiors of the resort. The expert combinations of the original furniture belonging to the Palazzo together with precious eighteenth century pieces to complement the suites and rooms with the recently developed breakfast corners. Thanks to the work of two discreet people, Sabrina Gambassi, who was born in Viareggio, but always been enamoured with her beloved Pietrasanta and Stephanie uygur, with her parisine charm and responsible for incoming, that your staying at Palazzo Visdomini and in Pietrasanta becomes an unforgettable experience. One takes care of the breakfasts, which are tailored to the guest’s needs, whilst the other gives advice on the opportunities, which are offered by the artistic capital of Versilia and surrounding area. All of this is characterized by extreme informality and relaxation, which can be felt in the common lounge and in the garden during the summer and spring months too. For those who prefer to relax in the privacy of the suites, there is nothing better than a refreshing bath in the Jacuzzi, followed by a drink or nice cup of coffee prepared in the kitchen corner. Make yourself feel completely at home, with the freedom of your own key so you can come back in the evening whenever you like. The enthusiastic comments in the guest book are written evidence of the guests’ satisfied approval.

Palazzo Visdomini was restored with the aim of preserving its early twentieth century atmosphere conferred when Count Visdomini was planning his own residence here. Six apartments - were created - suites, each one built with a lounge, bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen to offer its guests every comfort and satisfy even the most demanding needs. The 1st structure was built to accommodate customers wanting to enjoy a period of relaxation, culture and deep impressions in a unique setting to take you back in time, without foregoing any of today’s modern privileges, with the sea close at hand.

You could find escape from the warm summer evenings in the splendid private garden  that the villa offers to its guests. The garden is protect, nearly hidden by the high house walls. The  luxuriant  variety of bushes, flowers and trees, planted following the  classic rules of the Italian garden,  is welcoming and relaxing from the first instance.

The tranquillity and the silence invites to have a drink before dinner, or friendly chats under the fresh of the gazebo, a real little jewel with chairs and sofa with sophisticated Ivory tonalities that heat the athmosphere, while the garden is further enriched by a pool in the middle, with its rounded lines and the materials chosen, contribute to create that feeling of intimacy and relax that will make the hours spent in Residenza Palazzo Visdomini, unforgettable.
