A short walk up the broad tree lined Avenue Niel and you are within sight of the Arc
de Triomphe and the Place Etoile Charles de Gaulle. The Champs Elysées sweeps from
the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde, Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre.
The area is characterized by wide avenues, imposing 19th century buildings typical
of the more chic parts of Paris with inviting boutiques and a wide variety of
restaurants. Just 2 minutes away is a wonderful street market abounding with
delicious fresh produce. From the Etoile, the metro will take you swiftly to the
Louvre (8 minutes), Palais Royal, Musée d’Orsay, Marais, Latin Quarter and beyond.
In a fine well kept building with a concierge, a splendid antique elevator carries you
sedately to this elegant 3rd floor** apartment. Some 1500 square feet, this apartment has
recently been decorated with taste and imagination. It is a successful combination
of fine antiques, objets d’art and some wonderful trompe oeil effects.
Sweeping curtains frame the tall windows overlooking the avenue. A wide entrance hall
leads to the vast 600 square ft carpeted salon with leather sofas, dining furniture for
eight and a double sofa bed. Adjoining the salon is a large bedroom with 2 single
beds. The second bedroom has a European king size bed and overlooks the courtyard.
Excellent bathroom with a large corner tub. Separate WC. The kitchen is
somewhat dated in style but is very well equipped including a dishwasher, microwave,
classic oven, and washing machine. Central heating, linen, and maid service 2x weekly are
included with the rent. Local line telephone. Children accepted with
owner’s approval.
