BRIEF HISTORY OF GLADIATORI HOTEL - In Ancient Rome, four barracks for gladiators were built near the Colosseum. In 1937, the ruins of the most important, the so-called Ludus Magnus, were discovered between Via Labicana and Via San Giovanni in Laterano. As early as 1500 the Casino Guidi, a hunting lodge in the Guidi Gardens, stood near this ancient settlement. The historical building was transformed into a small but stately hotel from where guests can admire the beautiful monuments of Imperial Rome.

Opened in February 2003, the 'Gladiatori' offers all guests meticulously designed rooms to suit all preferences. Three standard and six superior rooms all over look the famous Colle Oppio and the Domus Aurea. An additional four deluxe rooms provide an exceptional view of the legendary Colosseum. In addition to these rooms the 'Gladiatori' provides a further selection of stylishly furnished suites. Designed with complete comfort in mind the spacious suites offer a master bedroom, a living room, two bathrooms and are also complemented with the panoramic view of the Colosseum.
