Relais Vignale is situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, halfway between Florence and Siena. The hotel dates back to the 17th century and has been carefully and tastefully restored, maintaining the atmosphere and charm of an elegant country manor house, whilst incorporating all the services and facilities one would expect to find in a four star hotel. The hotel enjoys an excellent position on the edge of the charming medieval town of Radda in Chianti, offering guests the privacy and tranquillity of a country house hotel, whilst being only a short walk away from the centre of town. Towns such as Siena, Florence and San Gimignano are a short drive away, thus making Relais Vignale an excellent base from which to explore all the delights that Tuscany has to offer.

The Hotel offers a variety of rooms and suites each with their own individual charm and character and furnished with oriental rugs, period furniture and original prints.
The 42 rooms are divided between Classic Doubles, Superior Doubles, Deluxe Doubles and Suites.The rooms enjoy a variety of views over the surrounding Chianti countryside, the village, the gardens and patio. The rooms in the annex offer views over the valley and vineyards.The suites offer panoramic views over the countryside and are bright and spacious. Each suite includes a lounge area, a private loggia or terrace and individual features making each one unique. All are equipped with Jacuzzi’s. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, mini-bar, sat TV, telephone, safe, hairdryer.

Guests may also enjoy relaxing in one of the lounges, which are endowed with frescoed ceilings and grand fireplaces. Other facilities at the guest’s disposal include a lounge bar, a library, a television lounge, a drinks patio, floral gardens, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and a wine shop where guests may enjoy free tasting.
The hotels Ristorante Vignale has a menu that explores the season’s specialties and boasts a wine list of over 300 hundred international labels. The restaurant has a fabulous vine covered terrace, which offers panoramic views over the surrounding Chianti countryside.

The wine-store offers a careful selection of the best Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano, “Super Tuscans” and white wines.
Produced by famous Italian wineries, the most recommended labels are available for sale, and the guests have the opportunity to taste the "Fattoria Vignale" and the "Castello San Donato in Perano" products such as Chainti Classico and IGT wines, Chianti Classico Grappa, Spumante, DOP extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar, Balsamico vinegar from Modena, honey, gelatins, jams & marmalades, Tuscan almond biscuits and olive oil cured vegetables. The wineshop is open every day.

Located inside Relais Vignale, the Ristorante Vignale offers a splendid panorama from it’s wisteria terrace and offers guests the opportunity to taste the true flavors of the Chianti. In the kitchen the chef Augusto Giusti reinterprets traditional Tuscan recipes, creating an array of evocative flavours, striving to keep in line with the season specialties.Open every day from March to November.

Located in the grounds of Catello San Donato Estate, Osteria Le Braci wants to offer Tuscan cooking by way of a simple menu with the chef cooking steaks on the open grill in full view of the diners. Guests have the possibility to choose their steak and have it grilled to order. There is a wide selection of typical and local products on offer such as salami’s. Hams and cheeses as well as the products of the Castello. The ample terrace offers fabulous views over the estate and the surroundings.
The estate’s products which include Chianti Classico Wine, Grappa, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, jams and marmalades, may all be tasted and purchased from the Osteria Le Braci. Open everyday from April to November – closed on Tuesday from December to March

Tuscan Traditional Bike Rides
Splendid white roads, imaginative courses, winding country lanes and spectacular scenery. This is cycling with a difference however, the spirit of ‘Eroica’ is traditional cycling. There are various routes planned for you by the Associazione Parco Ciclistico del Chianti, and the local office will rent you traditional bicycles and even traditional cycle wear.
