After a days activities there is no better place to return to relax and have a lovely glass of wine watching the spectacular sunset than Hotel Cutimare! Cutimare Hotel is located in the heart of the little village of Acquacalda, on the north side of the island of Lipari, just a few meters from the beautiful beach that has been awarded with the International prize of the“Blue Flag”. The Hotel, as all Acquacalda’s waterfront,  is characterized by views of the islands of Salina, Panarea and Stromboli. From here you can enjoy wonderful sunsets that allow visitors to relax on the beach until late. Due to its setting, Acquacalda has become over the years a destination for quality tourism. This is because, in this place you can find the “island dimension vacation” away from the crowds of the town center.

Bus and shuttle

Acquacalda is located just 10 minutes drive from Canneto and 15 minutes drive from the commercial port of Lipari.  The public bus service runs almost every hour to the town of Lipari and Canneto. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. In addition, the hotel provides to its guests a free shuttle at fixed times upon request.

Lipari center

Of course there is also the town of Lipari, 15 minutes away, where one can stroll, shop, and relax in the lovely bars and cafe's as well as visit the Luigi Bernabo Brea Archeological museum rated to be one of the very best of Europe as well as the Civita, the gardens around the Castle, the Cathedral (originally built by the Norman conquerors of Sicily in the 12th century, and the archeological ruins!

Daytrips to the Aeolian Islands

It is also from Lipari that one embarks on exciting and fun day trips to the nearby islands of Volcano (sulfur baths and black sand beaches), Stromboli (walk up to the crater of the active volcano and see the sciara - -the lava that flows from the mouth of the volcano all the way to the sea); of course there is also the island of Salina (where the Oscar winning film ëIl Postinoí was shot) where it is possible to visit and taste the vineyards that make the world renowned Malvasia wine.
