For a really relaxing spell in the country, a more spacious, elegant, well maintained villa would be hard to find. A place for all seasons, the villa has spacious gardens, al fresco dining terraces and a pool to really swim in, complemented, for the cooler months, with comfy sofas and a big open fireplace in the sitting room; and table tennis and table football in the games room. A rather grown-up hideaway, the old stone house has been restored with flair and style, creating very contemporary interiors beneath the raftered ceilings. With lots of wood and crisp white furnishings, its calm, uncluttered rooms include an open-plan sitting/dining room, divided by huge stone arches, and three rustic-chic bedrooms, 2 with en suite bathrooms and a separate shower room, one of the bedrooms can be made-up as a double or twin beds. There are glorious views from various vantage points in the terraced grounds, not least the sixteen meter pool, hemmed with herb borders and leveled lawns. With riding stables in the locale, and a restaurant a walkable 2km away, the villa is 12km from beautiful Todi, and within 70km of Orvieto and Assisi.
The house has been lovingly restored using a light colored local stone, terracotta tiles and wooden beamed ceilings. Spanning three levels, the interiors have a fresh, light and airy feel with well chosen stylish furniture throughout. Each comfortable bedroom has a modern bath or shower room while guests will love the beautifully designed modern kitchen which leads out to a covered patio area overlooking the pool and a pretty garden with rows of lavender and flower filled terracotta pots.
Satellite TV, a surround sound music system and a games room with table tennis and table football ensure year round indoor entertainment, whereas a cooling swim in the large pool is just part of the daily routine in the summer months, and watching the sun setting behind the distant hills is the best way to finish each day.
