Residenza Sangallo Apartments

The Residenza Sangallo Apartments are located close to Piazza San Marco, the Academy (home to Michelangelo's David) and just 10 minutes on foot from the Duomo. These five apartments have been renovated, with air conditioning, satellite TV, elevator, and FREE WiFi. Linens changed and rooms cleaned once a week.
The following are descriptions of each apartment -
Il Cenacolo Apartment - about 60 square meters, located on the first floor, with air conditioning, is comprised of one large bedroom that can accommodate up to 4 persons with two windows overlooking the street, one bathroom with shower, a sitting room with TV and a dining room with kitchenette with fridge, gas-stove and electric oven.
Il Cortile Apartment - about 40 square meters, located on the first floor, with air conditioning, is comprised of one double room, a bathroom with shower, dining room with TV area and kitchenette with gas-stove, electric oven and fridge. The windows of both rooms overlook the gardens of the back courtyard.
As of the SUMMER 2022 they are only offering 2 - one-bedroom apartments

Added to that it was not on a too-busy street so when we returned at the end of our days of sighteseeing, we were not troubled by the usual noise and bustle of a busy city. The owner Mariangela has an office in the building and was warm and welcoming and gave us trips on restaurants and where to shop and other info that only a native has insights into. As expected, we fell in love with all the things to do in Florence and as a result we used only 4 of the 6 Eurail trips (to Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Bologna) but the rail pass was very nice to have. Also the advice on Viatours to the Accademia and Uffizzi was welcome, since even this late in the tourist season the waits for these facilities were quite long." (2011)
