Les Jardines du Marais, just five minutes on foot from the Place des Vosges, is close to the Picasso museum, Victor Hugo's House, the Carnavalet Museum and the Opera Bastille. Not only an historic quarter, but also a very trendy one with its growing concentrations of fashionable boutiques on rue Vielle du Temple, rue des Francs Bourgeois and rue de Turenne.
There is a supremely welcoming lobby where Leievre armchairs upholstered in Parma violet velvet are enhanced by Art Deco lighting and Philippe Starck Plexiglas chairs to create an atmosphere which is both trendy and cost at the same time. You feel instantly at home in this historic site which has been revisited by designers Alexandre Danan and Jean-Louis San Miguel. They have given it a neo-classical feel, with a palette of 1930's shades. Lounge bar, room service, private car park and personal service make this a leading hotel in the district of the Bastille and the Marais.
Situated on the garden level, the hotel restaurant can cater for up to 50 guests. The stylish deco, with Philippe Starck chairs and long Parma velvet wall seats, is further enhanced by an impressive glass dome that softly filters daylight. When evening falls, Renee Vendrig's Big Diamond chandeliers take over. The contemporary cuisine draws on French inspiration and is attractively set out on the plates with a menu that follows the seasons. As soon as the fine weather arrives, guests can lunch or dine by candlelight on the terrace surrounded by rose bushes, sculptures and antique lampposts.
The hotel has 265 rooms and suites including 12 rooms equipped for the disabled, in seven 18th and 19th century historic buildings, some of which were designed by Gustave Eiffel. They look out over terraces and gardens with delightful exotic plants and rose bushes: everything you need for absolute peace and tranquillity in a setting of lush greenery. The decor combines thick pile carpets, double curtains, soft lighting with Art Deco furniture and spacious bathrooms. Each room has its own individual style and comes equipped with cable TV, ADSL Internet access, Wifi, Pay TV, telephone, safe, minibar, tea and coffee facilities and hair dryer.
The hotel has 15 meeting rooms, all located around a paved and tree-shaded courtyard, covered by a gigantic glass dome. These rooms are quipped with the very latest technology that can be adapted to meet individual needs. They can cater for up to 800 persons for a cocktail reception and 200 for a seminar. Some 1,000 meters of space is available for organizing events in a green setting bathes in natural daylight. There is also the Deauville room, where breakfast is served, which can cater for between 170 and 300 persons. All of this in a ambiance which defies any particular period, where Art Deco mingles with Philippe Starck chairs.....
