Beautiful apartment in a building dating from 1830 with high ceilings and old parquet floors on one of the loveliest streets in Paris in the chic 7th arrondissement. The Rue de Varenne, which runs east from the metro station, is closely associated with the French Government, since the President of the Council (equivalent to Prime Minister under the Third & Fourth Republics) settled in the nearby Hotel Matignon in January 1935. Other ministries were also located in the private mansions of the district. The apartment is in a short walking distance to the Rodin Museum, Les Invalides, the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay  and the famous cafes along the Boulevard Saint Germain.

Bedroom with a king size bed which can be divided,   if needed, into two single beds.  Master bath with a tub.  This bathroom  was remodeled using 17th century stone flooring, 18th century stone sinks and beautiful old 10 foot high mirrors.  There is another bathroom with a shower. The living room is furnished with Swedish and French 18th century furniture.   The library/ dining room  is also furnished with antiques and a beautiful painting of lions from the famous 19th century animal painter, Lancon. The kitchen is totally equipped with a dishwasher and convection burners and oven, washer and dryer, and fully equipped with all the necessary dishes and silver and pots and pans  you could need. Sheets and towels ( up to 7 a week) can be changed once a week and the apartment cleaned at the same time.

Wi Fi is available throughout the apartment with high speed Internet, and there is a new flat screen television with CNN and BBC  and hundreds of television stations.  Telephone service is included with free phone calls to any number, fixed and portable, in the United States and free phone calls to all fixed phones in most European countries.

There is a parking spot in the courtyard if you have a rented car.
