Directions to Villa Il Poggiale: Take the highway "Autostrada del Sole" (A1) and exit at "Firenze Certosa". From there enter the speedway to Siena, and take the first exit, San Casciano V.P. Drive for a couple of km and just before entering San Casciano, take a right turn towards Empoli-Cerbaia after that there will be a fork in the road, turn right. After approxiately 3 km, on your left, you will find Villa Il Poggiale, surrounded by cyress trees.

"What a beautiful room! I could look out the front window to the driveway but was a bit too short to see the full view over the fields - John said that it was lovely!! The villa is beautiful and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. As it was off season, only breakfast was served but there were some nice restaurants in the town. We had a car so this was a great base from which to visit Tuscany."
