It's an elegant 4 star townhouse in Bloomsbury known as The Academy, a boutique hotel where your comfort is paramount. Here our couches are for sinking into not perching on, our food is for savouring not picking at, our beds are designed to give you the soundest night's sleep. Outside you'll find a private garden, just for hotel residents, where flowers fill the generous space with colour and delicate fragrance and a fishpond ripples softly in the quiet. It's hard to believe you're in the heart of London's West End, but you are.
The Academy was made by linking five London luxury townhouses together, and somewhere inside is a place for you to hide. Each of the 49 rooms has been designed to make your dreams as sweet as can be. Shut the door and run a bath, while you try on what you've bought in the West End's stylish boutiques. Perhaps we can bring you a nightcap or a bite to eat, or maybe you'd just like some peace after a day in London's excitement in your accommodation.
What you'll find in every room:
The Academy hotel is a townhouse, originally built in 1776 when unfortunately, lifts were not common-place. The history, charm and character of the hotel unfortunately does not allow space for lifts to be installed. Therefore if you would like to stay on the ground or first floor, do place a request when making your reservation. The hotel is a non smoking establishment.
