Botania Relais & Spa, formerly Garden & Villas Resort is located in the city of Forio in Isola d Ischia, an island 2 hours (43 km) off shore from Naples. The relais is close to Lacco Ameno, the picturesque town by the sea renowned for its beautiful San Montano bay, Negombo thermal spa and gardens, and pretty center adorned with boutiques and shops. The resort's convenient location allows for easy access by bus to the other areas of the island, with Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte located at 9 km away, Forio nearby at 3 km, and Sant'Angelo at 8 km.
The hotel enjoys over 30,000 square meters of gardens surrounding the pool and 9 villas home to the 50 guest rooms. Rich Mediterranean and native plants are featured throughout the gardens, where local rocks have been expertly carved giving life to dry-stone walls with flowered lanes. Fragrant herbs such as rosemary, sage, and lavender are planted around fruit trees and palms.
San Monano Bay with its beautiful sandy beach and Negombo Spa Park are easily accesible on foot from a pathway from the hotel (350m). The relais is comprised of 9 white-washed villas typical of Ischia Island architecture, set splendidly in the resort's 2 acre gardens, standing out against lush Mediterranean greenery.
The cuisine at Botania Relais & Spa resort is created from a harmonious union of agricultural produce and local fish and seafood, the triumph of Ischitana and Neapolitan cuisine. An authentic specialty is Neapolitan pizza, cooked in a wood-fired oven. A rich buffet breakfast welcomes guests each morning with homemade pastries, fresh bread, fresh fruit, and local island jams and honey. In the splendid Il Corbezzolo restaurant, guests can enjoy views overlooking the pool and be served light a la carte lunches and candle-lit dinners. The relais also features a poolside bar and a bar with a terrace overlooking the gardens.
The water spring of Botania Relais & Spa feeds the outdoor pool that is maintained at a temperature of 82 degrees fahrenheit. Surrounded by lush hotel gardens, the pool is equipped with sun-beds and straw umbrellas.
The relais has a spa with indoor pool, sauna, and gym. Within the beauty center are customizable treatments ranging from traditional massages to more innovative offerings.
