Villa Reigna is one of the most beautiful and elegant country villa’s in Chianti complete with a tennis court and a unique wonderfully sloping stone swimming pool. It is located between Panzano in Chianti and Greve in Chianti at the end of a 2 km. well maintained dirt road in a secluded place that enjoys a wonderful panorama of the rolling hills of Chianti, yet it is walking distance from an excellent restaurant.
The villa that dates back to the 13th Century has large and spacious rooms and a superb collection of antiques and paintings, yet it maintains a very comfortable feel, full of character, which makes it the perfect Tuscan home for a lovely holiday. Surrounded by 10 hectares of Tuscan countryside, vineyards and olive groves, Villa Reigna has its own mature gardens, trees and an antique rose garden.
The villa is large (6,000 sq.ft) and spaciously allocated on two floors with a huge fully-equipped Tuscan kitchen with dining table and doors to the terrace, a formal dining room with French doors leading out to the south facing terraces, a billiard room, a very comfortable family sitting room, a large living room, 5 double/twin bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 5 full bathrooms and a powder room. Each tastefully decorated bedroom is unique and guests will love the master bedroom with its own dressing room, en suite facilities and private balcony with sunset views. The interior of the house is an appealing blend of comfort and elegance. You can either choose to eat in the large dining room or for more informal meals there is the fully equipped and welcoming kitchen. In the evenings there is the ground floor family sitting room where there is a television or one can retreat to the spacious library/living room upstairs. Alternatively one can opt for a game of billiards on the full size table.
Most of the rooms on the ground floor rooms open out onto the gardens and terraces (one on each side of the villa so to enjoy different panoramas) equipped for al fresco meals, ideal in the summer months, a lovely Italian garden (with roses and box edges), a unique stone built sloping swimming pool, bocce court (petanque) and Astroturf covered private tennis court.
Villa Reigna is the perfect base for discovering the rest of Tuscany although with a good restaurant within walking distance and an excellent cook service at the villa, guests will find it hard to leave. A typical day at Villa Reigna holds a variety of options. One can rest by the beautiful stone-lined pool and sunbathe to the gentle sound of the white doves cooing in their nearby dovecote. For those wanting some peace and quiet there are plenty of tranquil spots where one can sit and read, or simply absorb the view and atmosphere of this most beautiful of places. The more energetic can play Bocce (Petanque) on the houses own shaded pitch or there is always tennis on the astroturf court.
Villa Accommodation: (sleeping 11)
Ground floor: Fully equipped kitchen with table for informal dining, formal dining room with French doors leading out to terraces, family sitting room with SAT TV (films and news), billiard room, and powder room. In a separate part of the villa which is used by the owners there is s small study with a PC (with internet access) and a printer that can be used by the guests.
First floor: master (King size – 200cm bed) red bedroom suite with bathroom (double sinks in vanity area, separate shower stall and bathtub with hand-held removable overheard shower) en suite and terrace; double yellow bedroom (King size – 190cm bed) with bathroom (with shower stall) en suite; double flower canopy bedroom (Queen size – 180cm bed) with bathroom (with hand-held shower) en suite; a twin green bedroom (beds can be made into double/matrimonial ) and another smaller twin white bedroom (beds can be made into double/matrimonial), with a shared bathroom (has twin sinks and tub with overhead shower), and a beautiful library/large formal living room.
Mezzanine level: pleasant, small single bedroom with bathroom (with shower) en-suite.

Linens, towels, pool towels, electricity (and portable A/C in two bedrooms; more units can be added on request), Wi-Fi, gas for cooking, water usage, and final cleaning included.

Heating when required is charged at Euro 100.00 per day.
3 hours maid service (Monday – Saturday) is included in the booking.
The staff duties include general cleaning, plus the preparation of the breakfast table and
the cooking of evening meal daily (additional 3 hrs. per day, M-Sat.). Food and extra services are available on request and payable locally.

A Refundable Security Deposit of Euro 1,000.00 is requested on arrival. On prior request some of this deposit can be used toward daily household expenses and services.
Villa Note: the villa staff (a couple) who are also the villa managers, caretakers and also cook live in a separate cottage near the villa. They look after the owner’s dog (12 yrs. old) which is kept in an enclosed area. The discreet owners occasionally use a self-contained apartment on the property with its own access and not visible from the villa. The access road to the house is un-surfaced, so careful driving is recommended.
