FROM THE FLORENCE AIRPORT
By taxi to Piazza Santa Croce. Approximately one half hour at a cost of 30/35 euros.
FROM THE PISA AIRPORT
By train to the Florence Santa Maria Novella train station and then by taxi to Piazza Santa Croce, or by car service at a cost of 160 euros approx. Time: approximately 1 hour.
FROM THE MILAN AND ROME AIRPORTS
By train (with connections at the Milano Centrale or the Roma Termini train stations) to Florence Santa Maria Novella train station, and then by taxi to Piazza Santa Croce. The train ride, depending on connections, may take up to 5 hours from Milano and 4 hours from Roma. Or by car service, approximately 3 hours from Rome and 3 and a half hours from Milano. Cost: From Rome Airport 500 euro, From Milano Airport 550 euro. There is an extra charge for long waits at the airport in case of delays.
BY CAR FROM THE HIGHWAY
If coming from the north (Milano) exit at “Firenze Nord,” if coming from the south (Roma) exit at “Firenze Sud.” In both cases follow signs for “Centro Città,” the center of the city, which is sometimes indicated graphically by black concentric circles on a white background. Go to Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, make a right on Piazza dei Cavalleggeri, and a left onto Corso dei Tintori. Go to the first traffic light and make a right in Via dei Benci, which leads you right to Piazza Santa Croce on the side of the fountain. Normally one link of the chain blocking access to the Piazza is open. Enter the piazza and drive right in front of Palazzo Antellesi which stands out on account of its painted facade.

DRIVING UP TO THE FRONT DOOR
Three sides of Piazza Santa Croce, including the side of Palazzo Antellesi, are traffic free areas. However taxi cabs and rental cars are normally allowed to drive in front of Palazzo Antellesi to unload luggage. You will reach the traffic side of Piazza Santa Croce coming from Via de’ Benci. Drive beyond the fountain and you will find a section of the chain open. Drive right up to the front door of Palazzo Antellesi. In the unlikely case that you are stopped by a policeman explain the following: “Arriviamo dall’estero al nostro appartamento” (We are arriving from abroad to our apartament). It usually works! Once at Piazza Santa Croce 21 ring the buzzer marked “Palazzo Antellesi.”

To inform us ahead of time of your approximate time of arrival. If you do not communicate your approximate time of arrival there is the possibility that no one will be on the premises to meet you and this will delay your access to the apartment.
