The Casale is a luxury residence located in a very picturesque valley in the delightful village of Vorno, just 10 minutes from fabulous Lucca and less than an hour from Florence in Tuscany. Completely surrounded by typical Italian gardens with olive groves and lemon trees. The small brook that flows through the garden was once used to move the ancient mill's still present wooden gears. Large and refreshing swimming pool (26 x 52 feet) with a shallow end for children. Ornamental gazebo with dining table for alfresco meals. On the other side of the villa is an equipped terrace with view of the river, perfect for sunset cocktails.
Built in the 17th century and once used as a mill, this beautiful stone and “mandolate” villa has been totally renovated with careful attention to the rich tradition and history of its noble past, yet offering the top amenities in modern comfort, including the extremely rare central air conditioning.
Ground floor: Handsome family dining room seats 12 people. More casual family dining room and TV room with satellite TV, CD stereo system and impressive stone fireplace. Well equipped Kitchen with high end appliances and all necessities. Laundry room. Small office with fax, computer and Internet access.
On the upper floor are 5 king or twin (your option) double bedrooms, including two master suites, all exquisitely decorated with fine fabrics and linens and precious family pieces. All bedrooms have bathrooms ensuite and have speakers with private controls for the central stereo. All linens provided.
Accommodating 3 additional people, the very charming 2 bedroom coach house is included with the rental of Il Casale. One bedroom has 2 single beds and the other bedroom has a narrow double bed. The bedrooms share one full bathroom.
Maid service 6 days per week and daily breakfast included with rental. Cook for lunch and dinner possible on either a daily or weekly basis. Alarm system. Mountain bikes available for rent. Transfer from Pisa Airport or Lucca and Florence rail stations possible.
