Food and Beverages
The Rooftop Terrace is an intimate space with privileged views to the winged horse statues of the Monument at Piazza Venezia and the ruins of the Palatine Hill. All day bar service, breakfast and light lunches served. A refined buffet Breakfast is served on the terrace, also welcoming you for afternoon tea, snacks, and a sundowner cocktail hour. The lounge is open all day from 06.45a.m. to 11.00p.m.
A feature very unique to the hotel is the Cryptoporticus. The Cryptoporticus, a structure formed by two galleries with archways and a colonnade, was discovered and excavated in 1887. Since then, no comprehensive studies have been formulated on the monument and its function, and so it is considered one of the “treasures” of the underground Rome and remains still little-known to this very day. Recent excavations have made it possible to re-examine the archive documents and begin the study of this exceptionally well-preserved monument. The Cryptoporticus was erected in the Roman period inside the VI Regio Augustea, at the border between the Subura area and the area of the Imperial Forum, on the Viminale hillside.
