Hotel Mas Salagros is the first Ecoresort in Spain that is a member of Biohotels, the main association of ecological hotels in Europe. This thrilling resort is open year round, and situated only 20 minutes from Barcelona. The hotel stands out for its great offer of services and facilities, as well as for the different activities and experiences in the middle of nature, which you will be able to enjoy at any time. The hotel offers 54 rooms of different types, all equipped and decorated with 100% natural and ecological materials such as the wood, the natural latex pillows, and linen in organic cotton. All rooms are welcoming, ample and receive ample natural light, apart from having a terrace or garden.
The history of Hotel Mas Salagros is that of a love story with three passions and shared values that inspire the company, with the aim to contribute to more sustainable tourism, in order to achieve an ever greener economy. The ancient farm or ‘masía’, known as Can Sala Gros, is situated in the humid and fertile valley of the village that is nowadays known as Vallromanes (valley of the Romans). Its Roman origins, that do not appear in documents until 1497 (archives of the Crown of Aragon), have inspired the creation of the new Ecoresort. As a tribute to its history, inside the complex we have built some Roman thermal baths, AIRE of Vallromanes & Ancient Baths, in collaboration with the group AIRE.
In the past, our ancestors Greeks, Romans, Arabs and Ottomans prepared luxurious banquets for their guests including sumptuous thermal baths. At the end of the 5th Century the wealthy Romans gathered at the magnificent thermal bath houses (thermae) to revel in the pleasure of the bath ritual. A habit that has been praised and admired for generations and that Aire Ancient Baths has reserected for you adapting it to modern times.
Next to the Serralada Coastal Natural Park, in a privileged enclave, once a Roman settlement, just 30 km. from Barcelona, an old farmhouse from the year 1497 is now a dream space in which to live a unique experience of complete relaxation and enjoyment. Here you will live out an unforgettable journey of sensations through different thermal baths at different temperatures that culminates with an ample menu of relaxing massages and the sophisticated rituals we always work on and only with the best organic cosmetic products.
Emerse yourself in the candlelight and ambience where the maximum elegance reigns, prepare yourself to feel the highly beneficial effects for your health both physically and mentally with the contrast between the steam bath or Hammam, the warm bath, Tepidarium (36 ° C ), the hot bath, Caldarium (40), and the cold bath, Frigidarium (16 ° C) and finish this off by savoring the pleasure of submerging in the Thousand Jet Stream Bath and abandoning yourself floating in the Salt Bath. In addition, passing through the Wine Bath, you will live a magic moment while your skin is nourished by the antioxidant properties of the polyfenols from red wine grapes.
ROOM TYPES:
3 Suites of 50 m2 with garden, with the highest level of comfort for families with children. The suite consists of two interconnecting rooms, one bedroom and a living room. Both are elegantly decorated in an ecological and rural atmosphere. The bedroom of the Suite has a King bed, (or 2 twins) 180 x 200 cm and a single sofa bed; the living room of the Suite has a queen size sofa bed.
17 Junior Suites of 30 m2 with garden, very comfortable for families with children.The Junior Suite is comfortably decorated with a King or 2 twin beds 180 x 200 cm, a sofa that is convertible into a double bed and a separate bedroom where cradles or children beds can be set upon request and according to the availability at the moment of booking. A luminous and spacious room that turns into the ideal accommodation for families with children, who want to spend a great, pleasant and amusing time with the family.
14 Superior Rooms with a garden of 25m2 and with a capacity for 4 people. All of them are comfortably decorated with 2 Twin or a King 180 x 200 cm and a sofa that can be turned into a queen bed. These are spacious bedrooms with much light, ideal for families and couples who want to enjoy a real rest in an ecological hotel.
6 Standard Rooms of 25 m2 with garden and with a capacity up to 3 people. The rooms are pleasantly decorated with a King bed 180 x 200 cm and a sofa that can be turned into a single bed. The Standard Bedroom is ideal for couples and families who want to enjoy a great experience in the first Biohotel in Spain
The hotel also offers two Superior Garden rooms adapted for mobility restricted guests.
All rooms have a complete bathroom, with shower or bath-tub, television with cabled channels, free WIFI, mini-bar, safe, hair dryer, courtesy amenities, direct phone, bathrobe and slippers to go to the spa.
The hotel has two organic restaurants: Gastronomic Restaurant 1497, open for lunch and dinner, where you can enjoy an incredible menu and an ample and selected carte, and , the Bar-Restaurant, La Granja Salagros, open all day for snacks, drinks and light meals, all of them delicious and prepared with great passion and devotion.
The gastronomic offerings of the Resort are based on the Mediterranean diet, with 100% organic products. Parts of them come from our own Salagros farm with its workshop, where we grow and produce our own fresh products: directly from our properties of Can Salagros and Cal Tudela, in the Delta of the Llobregat, where we produce the best organic fruit and vegetables of the season. Our buffet breakfast offers products of our vegetable gardens and our farm with workshop: cheese, eggs, milk, vegetables and fruit…
We can also accomodate special diets such as vegetarian, coeliac diets and special diets for sportsmen, amongst others, and for any important celebrations we have an exclusive banquet and catering service.
