Food and Drink
The sophisticated DUKES Bar, the most “happening” bar in St. James’s, attracts a metropolitan crowd who come to experience great cocktails and the best dry martini in town.
The elegant THIRTY SIX at DUKES is ideal for a relaxing meal with friends and family. The tempting seasonal menus offer classic British dishes, while desserts feature several old favorites. A great wine selection includes a special reserve selection with predominantly Old World reds in addition to fun and affordable New World wines.
DUKES has a Drawing Room and Conservatory overlooking the Courtyard Garden, a relaxed environment for breakfast, traditional afternoon tea, or a light meal at anytime. From 8pm, the garden opens as the Cognac and Cigar Garden for post dinner drinks and cigars.
DUKES Room
This is a very comfortable, quiet room with a guaranteed Queen Size bed. The room features include an interactive flat screen TV, large writing desk, in-room safe, marble, en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, Ren toiletries, self controlled air-conditioning unit and opening windows. Rooms are available on lower or high floors. We provide complimentary Wi-Fi and Water.
Classic Room
Larger than DUKES rooms and can comfortably accommodate two people. These rooms can be allocated with Queen, King or Twin beds. Room features include an interactive flat screen TV, a spacious wardrobe, in room safe, comfortable arm chair, large writing desk, opening windows, Ren toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, large marble en-suite bathroom with bath tub and shower. We provide complimentary Wi-Fi and Water.
Superior Room
These rooms come with a guaranteed King or Twin beds. There is a superior room located on each floor of the hotel, so we can normally accommodate a request for a high or low floor. Superior Rooms have large double wardrobes, and come with a comfortable arm chair or small double seat lounge chair. The room features include an interactive flat screen TV, large writing desk, in-room safe, marble en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower, Ren toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, self controlled air-conditioning unit and opening windows. Luxury Room
Predominantly overlooking our courtyard, these rooms have guaranteed King or Twin beds. There is a luxury room located on each floor of the hotel so we can normally accommodate a request for a high or low floor. Junior Suites are large open plan suites with a bedroom and a spacious sitting area separated by an archway. The suites have beautiful natural light and are available with King or Twin beds. One Bedroom Suites
One bedroom suites contain a large double bedroom with guaranteed King or Twin beds and a separate south facing sitting room which includes a dining area for four. These suites also connect to a Superior Room with King or Twin Beds. Duke of Clarence Penthouse Suite by Thomas Goode
Located on the 5th floor this elegant and spacious suite includes a large sitting room with a dining table for four, a private balcony with views over Green Park, a large double bedroom and cloakroom. We have partnered with Thomas Goode of Mayfair and this suite features a unique collection of fine porcelain and china from their very prestigious store. The collection is changed every two months. The Clarence Suite has its own private outside terrace overlooking Clarence House and Green Park.
The suite was refurbished in a soothing palette of colors and features a separate living room and dining area and a large, beautiful bedroom. An adjoining separate guest or security bedroom is also available on request . In-suite amenities include a marble bathroom with separate bathtub and power shower, 2 large screen televisions with movies on demand, iPod speakers , 5 telephones, complimentary wireless high-speed internet access, luxury fruit bowl and handmade chocolates on arrival, complimentary newspaper daily, Ren bathroom amenities, complimentary shoe shine, complimentary water with nightly turndown service and complimentary access to the spa. Playstation and X Box games machines are available on request and can be installed in the room prior to your arrival. A 24 hour butler service is available with the room on request. These new rooms offer a discreet service tailored to female business and leisure guests. Women travelling alone, on business, or with friends can expect the following feminine touches, as standard:
