Washington Mayfair Hotel - Mayfair / Hyde Park Area

London, United Kingdom

The Washington Mayfair hotel is a distinguished hotel with a history dating back to 1913. Its Art Deco origins can be clearly seen in the exquisite and understated bas relief features on the exterior. However in the years since it opened, frequent renovation, new design touches and extensive modernization have made this hotel a favorite for the many visitors who call this their business base and home away from home.  Privately owned since 1997, all 171 bedrooms and suites at our Mayfair hotel have been recently refurbished and offer a great range of spacious accommodation to suit both business and leisure travelers.

Check into The Washington Mayfair Hotel and you will be staying in one of London’s finest locations, Curzon Street, tucked into the heart of Mayfair a few minutes from Park Lane and offering a perfect alternative to the famous 5-star Park Lane Hotels.  This 4-star deluxe accredited hotel is superbly placed in the Capital’s premier commercial and cultural centre. Park Lane, Piccadilly, The Royal Academy of the Arts, Buckingham Palace, Bond Street, Green Park and Hyde Park are a few minutes’ walk.   Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Knightsbridge are within a 10-15 minute walk.  From Green Park Underground nearby, there is easy access to the City, Canary Wharf, the O2, Wembley Stadium, all London mainline stations and a direct link straight to Heathrow.

Rooms and Suites

Classic Rooms

Classic rooms offer either one queen size or two single beds and are decorated in warm earth colors with modern, sleek dark wood furniture. Bathrooms are new, with baths and powerful showers, mist free mirrors and large modern porcelain tiles.

Superior Rooms
Superior rooms have either one king size bed or two single beds and are slightly larger than the Classic rooms to incorporate the larger bed type. They still feature the same modern, sleek dark wood furniture and luxury leather beds and the beautifully designed bathrooms with baths, power showers and steam free mirrors.

Deluxe Rooms
Deluxe rooms incorporate either one king size bed or two single beds and are again larger than the Superior rooms and designed in the same modern style with new bathrooms.

Junior Suites
Junior Suites effectively have two open plan rooms, incorporating a comfortable lounge area with a 42” wall mounted TV and drinks cabinet opening off a small hall. The bedroom, with either a king or queen size bed, opens off to the lounge. Bathrooms are opulent and lined in terracotta toned marble. The Executive Studio Suites are large open plan rooms with a king size bed, sitting area and feature double size marble bathrooms with double sinks and a bidet.  All the Junior Suites can be interconnected with the room opposite to create a private two room suite.

Master Suites
The hotel has four very different Master Suites, each laid out in its own unique way.  Each has a bedroom with marble bathroom opening off to the lounge and seating for at least four people for dining or meetings. Two wall mounted flat screen TV’s are provided in each suite and there is comfortable lounge seating. The Master Suites are ideal for confidential meetings, a luxurious weekend away or a spacious Mayfair base for business or pleasure. One very unique suite even has a small balcony and glass walled conservatory lounge

George Washington Suite
Our stunning signature Suite, combines a comfortable lounge area, separate bedroom with marble bathroom and a light flooded, glass walled meeting or dining room with a view towards Green Park, which can comfortably seat eight people for meetings or private dining.

Two-Bedroom Suite
There are several rooms which can be converted into two bedroom suites. The most impressive being the 7th floor Suite, the Woodrow Wilson, which has the option of one or two bedrooms, with a wonderfully large, completely separate lounge featuring a dining table for six, a comfy & stylish lounge area complete with a small kitchenette and breakfast bar.  Alternative options for two bedroom suites are available by utilizing the Junior Suites connected to a Classic room or an Executive Studio Suite connected to a Deluxe room.  This configuration utilizes an outer door which effectively creates a small private entryway into two separate rooms.

Family Room
Apart from the Junior Suites, there are alternative options for those looking to book family or interconnecting rooms. On most floors, two superior rooms have a connecting door to the neighboring room. Some also feature a sofa bed, making this accommodation ideal for families. Extra beds are also available.  The hotel can also connect the Junior Suites to a Classic double – where there is a separate outer door and the two rooms can be kept completely separate or for those needing a little more space, the Executive Studio Suites can be arranged with a Deluxe King room, again with a completely separate front door to allow for a 2 bedroom Suite feel.

Dining Options

Whether you are looking for a quick snack, a traditional Afternoon Tea, a formal dinner or just simply to relax over a glass of wine, The Washington Mayfair has many suitable options for you to enjoy whilst you are visiting.  When visiting London, afternoon tea in Mayfair is a treat not to be missed.  Oneof the UK’s most traditional luxuries should be enjoyed to the full and you can indulge yourself with our afternoon tea in Madison’s.  Delicious sandwiches, warm scones with Cornish clotted cream and preserves, finished with a selection of tempting pastries and all served with your choice of infusion including of course, a classic pot of English tea. What could be better?  To upgrade from the Mayfair Afternoon Tea, it is always pleasant to truly spoil oneself with a glass of chilled Piper Heidsieck Champagne. Seasonal and themed Afternoon Tea menus are also on offer throughout the year.
